Is there a way to add layers as there was in GeoCAT? Being able to pull in a counties layer would be great for range extent comments and CAS Political values and pulling in managed areas would be great for protected/managed occurrences.

At this time, users are not able to add layers to RARECAT. In my experience, the Open Street Map has better delineation of county lines (and protected areas!) compared to the other map layers. Please let us know if there are specific layers that you find the most useful in your work, and we can check about the process for adding layers to the tool.
